Emma Wilkinson

Award winning textile designer, Queen Elizabeth Trust Scholar for Kiltmaking, Embroiderers Guild Scholar and Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery Winner. 

Emma has a First Class Honours Degree in Textiles from The University of Edinburgh. She started her career as a print designer and embroiderer, working on many wonderful projects for Hand & Lock, where she learned her craft, before fine tuning her skills further to become an Edinburgh Kiltmakers Academy qualified Kiltmaker.

Her attention to detail, love of heritage, landscape, nature, culture and commitment to keeping traditional craftsmanship alive is present throughout all dimensions of her work, while approached with a contemporary edge. Emma loves to work both by hand and digitally to create a beautiful fusion of old and new. 

Beyond design, Emma has worked extensively on digital marketing and content production for a variety of brands and businesses over the years. Her eye for detail and creativity as a designer combined with her natural organisation and logical thinking makes for exciting and well planned social media/wider marketing projects.
